Hesta and Cheng Xiaoshu had arranged to meet right downstairs at the Gleipnir Company office building.

Along the way, Hesta watched silently as the window scenery outside the bus sped backward, guessing what Eucali wanted to talk to her about today. Actually, no matter what she said, as long as she wasn't thinking about giving up everything they had so hard-won right in front of them, then everything would be fine.

Near the City Center, traffic started to jam up on the road. Hesta estimated the time and felt that there was still plenty of it.

Suddenly her phone rang, and Hesta took it out to see that it was a call from Cheng Xiaoshu.

"Hello."

"Where are you!" On the other end of the phone, Cheng Xiaoshu's voice was extremely anxious.

"Almost there, two stops left."

"Hurry and come—!" Cheng Xiaoshu started running, "Eucali's mother is here too—"

The bus was still moving slowly, and Hesta pulled open the bus window and jumped straight out. The gasps of the crowd were left behind her, and she quickly ran from the motor vehicle lane onto the pedestrian sidewalk, then broke into a sprint like the wind.

On the first floor of the Gleipnir Company, Ban Ye was pulling her luggage across the lobby, and Eucali tried to pull her mother's hand and luggage, but was continuously brushed away by Ban Ye.

"Mom, Mom—listen to me..."

"Let go!" Ban Ye stopped angrily, giving her daughter a hard shove, "If you aren't coming back with me, I'm going back by myself!"

"No need!" Ban Ye roared in reply.

Everyone in the entire lobby glanced over toward this side, people curiously eyeing the fiercely aggressive short-haired woman, every muscle on her face trembling with her anger.
