Lu Yi learned Necromancy far faster than he had imagined.
Electrolux was the Son of Light, wielding the purest power of light. The Necromancy he had transformed therefore carried a strong light attribute as well.
Lu Yi's Wand had gained the light attribute under the Golden Tree's influence. Later, it absorbed a Soul Ring with the same attribute, and through Attribute Guidance with the Auspicious Beast, the light within him was purified and expanded.
As a result, Lu Yi's study of this light-infused Necromancy went surprisingly smoothly. In a single vacation, he had learned and gained some understanding of seven or eight Necromancy spells.
As Lu Yi recalled, the Necromancy inheritance Huo Yuhao received after Electrolux burned himself and became a Martial Soul contained only ten spells.
But once Lu Yi came to understand the full scope of Necromancy, he discovered that it held far more than that. At its known heights, it could rival divine-level magic.
The title Holy Necromancer was, for Elder Yi, an understatement. If becoming a god in his world had not required casting off the flesh and becoming part of the laws of heaven and earth, becoming a god of death would have been easy for him.
Of course, Lu Yi's smooth progress owed much to Electrolux's painstaking guidance.
Had Lu Yi been left to study alone, with no one to answer his questions, reaching this point would have taken far longer. Two or three years would have been a conservative estimate.
For now, though, Lu Yi could practice only half of the spells he had learned.
Aside from Heart of Undead Annihilation, the only spells he was certain he had mastered were the Withering Spell, which steadily eroded its target, and Death Lash, which could attack the souls of the living or drive undead
