Background / History

Origins and the revealed loss of identity

Wang Dong was originally Tang Wutong, the daughter of God King Tang San. As a child, she enjoyed leaving the Divine Realm to play in the mortal world. When she descended, Tang San sealed her memories, creating the identity known as Wang Dong. He also removed a fragment of her divine consciousness 10.

In the Sky Curtain’s account, Tang San later placed that fragment inside the Three-Eyed Golden Lion, together with the Golden Dragon Spear. The broadcast presents this as a scheme to obtain the Auspicious Beast’s Power of Destiny and Golden Dragon bloodline. After the beast sacrificed herself and the consciousness fragment merged with Wang Dong’er, only Tang Wutong remained; Wang Dong’s independent personality was erased 10.

Shrek Academy and Huo Yuhao

Disguised as a boy, Wang Dong became a gifted Shrek Academy student celebrated as both its campus beauty and handsome heartthrob. She developed a close partnership with Huo Yuhao, including Martial Soul Fusion and the shared Haodong Power 9 10.

The Sky Curtain shows them helping Shrek through the Soul Master Tournament. Although Shrek lost the team battle, it won the individual elimination and two-on-two matches. Her seventh-place rewards included one instance of Space-Time Travel across ten thousand years. She vanished from Huo Yuhao’s side and surfaced in a lake near Phainon, Qian Renxue, and Snake Lance Douluo. Discovering that people in this earlier era could also see the Sky Curtain, she immediately recognized the danger posed by public knowledge of her bloodline and Soul Bone 11.

Debt and refuge at Phainon’s shop

Wang Dong recognized “Xue Qinghe” as Qian Renxue’s historical disguise. Encouraged to test Phainon’s strength, she accepted a wager requiring her to buy ten outfits if she lost. Phainon flicked aside her enhanced Light Dragon God Slash with one finger 12.

The outfits cost 5,000 Gold Soul Coins. Her Soul Tool had been damaged during time travel, preventing her from accessing her money, so she remained at Phainon’s shop to work off the debt. Huo Yuhao later followed her into the past and joined the staff to help her repay it 12 15.

Phainon offered regular nine-to-five hours, weekends off, staff housing, and meals. Wang Dong accepted the shop as temporary shelter while she learned about the era and sought greater strength. She deliberately avoided Tang San and abandoned an immediate trip to the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well after Qian Renxue warned that competing factions had made it too dangerous 17.

Wang Dong and Huo Yuhao became models and customer assistants whose resemblance to their Sky Curtain appearances helped attract buyers. During Phainon’s commercial rivalry with Aglaea, Wang Dong handled sales, restocking, and payments. Sent to investigate the opposing workshop, she bought two outfits—one for herself and one for Huo Yuhao—to obtain its free Message-Transmitting Slate.
