History
Lin Hao proposed the empire as a way to unite the Sea God’s followers and gather faith from Sea Soul Beasts at sea and Sea Soul Masters on land. Poseidon endorsed the plan, and Lin Hao organized a Sea God Festival open to believers beyond Sea God Island 34 35. At the festival, Sea God’s Light blessed assembled Sea Soul Masters and Sea Soul Beasts. Lin Hao then proclaimed the empire’s founding: island residents and Sea Soul Beasts who believed in the Sea God became its subjects 40 41.
The newly formed Sea God Legion brought the western waters under imperial control in a month, encountering little resistance among islands whose inhabitants already worshipped the Sea God 42. The empire then captured Vast Sea City and used it as a continental base. Within another month, it had taken roughly one-seventh of the territory of each of the Heaven Dou and Star Luo empires; Lin Hao halted the advance to consolidate its holdings and recruit troops 43.
Sea God Crossbow volleys helped repel counterattacks on both fronts 44. Bo Saixi’s assault on Star Luo City forced Star Luo to surrender, while Heaven Dou subsequently agreed to cede territory and pay reparations. With Spirit Hall mediating, the Sea God Empire retained large continental holdings 45 46 47.
