Background / History

Lu Yu raised Tang Fei, providing for him and teaching him how to survive in the ruins. Tang Fei and Lu Yu know one another well enough to coordinate deceptive attacks without explanation; Lu Yu relies on Tang Fei for sustenance, while Tang Fei regards him as family despite their constant quarrelling 24.

He and Little Fatty worked as stonemasons, with Lu Yu directing Little Fatty's stone-cutting while resting in a rattan chair. He later arranged for Tang Fei to hunt alone because Little Fatty's size and noise scared away prey 3 22.

When Phoenix entered the household, Lu Yu distrusted her promises and repeatedly warned Tang Fei not to stake his life on another person's goodwill. Though initially hostile toward her presence and insistent that she marry Tang Fei, he accepted her refusal and prepared the household for retaliation by the Flame Shrine 5 15.

His concealed combat ability emerged during the assassination attempts on Phoenix. He coordinated ambushes with Tang Fei, killed the nano-armored Shadowless using a powerful crossbow, and later defeated the Wuyou Palace assassin Shan He 24 25 32.

During the Flame Shrine's assault on the settlement, Lu Yu confronted White-Robed Divine Envoy Bian Feng. He displayed the second level of the Dragon Elephant Subduing Demon Technique and defeated Bian Feng, whom Tang Fei then beheaded 39.
