Background / History

The Evil Eyes Saint King began as a legend invented by the Star Luo Empire’s founding emperor to give his rule divine authority. It described a saintly guardian protecting the Star Luo clan, but no miracles appeared over the following millennia, and the legend gradually faded from memory 3 6.

The legend nevertheless became the foundation of a real Martial Soul. Its formation drew on the empire’s accumulated national fortune, generations of rulers’ desire to unite the continent, and—most importantly—power fed back from Dai Xuanyu’s Second Martial Soul. Xuanyu understands that he was born with the resulting Martial Soul rather than receiving it from an existing Saint King 3.

At his awakening, Xuanyu recognizes the manifestation and publicly names it the Evil Eyes Saint King. The imperial family instead interprets its appearance as proof that its ancestral guardian and sacred inheritance were real 3 4.
