Background

Ye Liangchen is the son of Ye Feng and Liu Ruyan, both described as exceptional spirit masters who had approached the Titled Douluo realm by age forty. Their deaths were attributed to a black-robed figure possessing a 100,000-year spirit ring; the adults around Ye Liangchen concealed details of the incident to protect him. After learning of their fate, he resolved to investigate when he was strong enough. 2
