Background / History

Heaven Dragon Douluo is a veteran of lifelong warfare who serves the Sun Moon Empire’s imperial family. He is identified as the reigning emperor’s uncle and has presided over the Worship Hall for roughly half his life. Despite his military experience, he ordinarily spends his time cultivating in seclusion 12 11 33.

Coastal confrontation

He arrives at the coast leading Sun Moon reinforcements after Red Dragon Douluo defeats and captures four of the empire’s Titled Douluo. With Zhongli Bai, other high-ranking Soul Masters, and a large army behind him, Heaven Dragon demands the prisoners’ release in exchange for a “fair fight” 9.

The arrival of the Blue Silver Empire’s Wanderer Mothership overturns that advantage. Heaven Dragon transforms into his Dark Demon Dragon Avatar and intercepts the bombardment with dragonfire, but the defenders cannot protect the entire army. More than a fifth of the Sun Moon forces are killed or wounded during the first volley 10 11.

When the Wanderer targets him and Zhongli Bai with four Level 9 Fixed Soul Guidance Shells, they combine their defenses. The specially engineered shells break through their Soul Power barriers and Heaven Dragon’s dragon-shaped bell, blasting both men out of their Martial Soul Avatars 11 12.

Best-of-five arena contest

Heaven Dragon acknowledges that the Sun Moon Empire cannot match the Blue Silver Empire’s Soul Guidance Technology, but refuses to regard the bombardment as a satisfactory test of personal strength. He demands opponents of comparable rank and restrictions against Soul Tools and armor; Red Dragon Douluo proposes settling the dispute in an arena 12 13.

He selects Kong Lin for the Soul Saint match because of the veteran’s exceptional defense and announces the rules for the subsequent Soul Douluo match. His expectations are overturned as the Blue Silver Empire wins the first three bouts, deciding the best-of-five contest 14 18 27.

Despite the result, Heaven Dragon insists that the remaining matches must be fought to preserve the empire’s courage and dignity. Duel with Wu Tianque

Heaven Dragon personally enters the final Limit Douluo match, stating that he seeks to honor his cultivation rather than secure victory. He recognizes that the opposing champion, Wu Tianque, is not human and accepts him after Ye Su confirms that the Ferocious Beast’s strength is equivalent to a Limit Douluo 36.

Learning that Wu Tianque has reached six hundred thousand years of cultivation through the Azure Emperor’s guidance, Heaven Dragon takes him seriously. His opening Black Dragon Roar and Demon Dragon Slash fail against Wu’s Invincible Golden Body. He remains composed and waits for the protection to fade before launching two attacks together 37 39.

Wu counters with Phasing, teleports into Heaven Dragon’s blind spot, and catches him in the Explosive Eighteen-Stage Throw. The uninterrupted combination disperses Heaven Dragon’s Soul Power and batters the coastline into a bay. Unable to continue, he concedes, leaving the Blue Silver Empire with four wins and one draw 40.

He distinguishes losing from cowardice. Once the arena series is beyond recovery, he still insists on completing it and personally fights the final match without expecting victory. Ye Su is moved by this resolve and chooses not to humiliate Xuan Fan unnecessarily 33 35 36.

His combat experience helps him remain analytical under pressure. Rather than panic when Wu Tianque withstands his attacks, he identifies a probable time limit on the golden defense and prepares to exploit it.
