Background / History

Tian Meng comes from the Far North and accumulated her immense cultivation largely through eating and sleeping. After leaving her homeland, she was captured by Di Tian and used by the Star Dou Great Forest’s Ferocious Beasts as an energy source to increase their cultivation. Her later claim that she fought Di Tian for three days and voluntarily helped the beasts is an embellished version of these events 15.

Before bonding with Huo Yutong, Tian Meng attempted to sacrifice herself to an Evil Soul Master from the Sun Moon Empire. She inspected his memories, but he burst after receiving her power. He had been a Level 7 Soul Engineer, leaving her with knowledge she could later teach to Yutong. She subsequently sealed much of her essence during her next sacrifice 35.

After escaping the Ferocious Beasts and facing an approaching heavenly tribulation, Tian Meng sought a mental-attribute host. She found Huo Yutong immediately after the girl’s desperate victory over a Wind Baboon 14 15.

Appearance

Tian Meng’s original body is a plump, white-jade silkworm. After her sacrifice, she usually manifests as a petite floating girl with a golden hood, long blond hair, golden eyes, pale skin, and delicate features 14 15.

Personality

Tian Meng is boastful, lazy, and shamelessly flirtatious. She exaggerates her combat history, frequently retreats to bed in Yutong’s Sea of Consciousness, and confidently explains things she does not fully understand. Her deduction that Tang Qi’s first Soul Skill is merely an enhancement hidden inside his Blue Silver Domain is explicitly mistaken 15 18 21.

Her affection is genuine but often overbearing. She overrides Yutong’s refusal during their initial bonding, repeatedly embarrasses her with romantic jokes, yet also comforts her insecurities and intervenes when she is distressed or endangered. She strongly objects to Yutong’s exhausting routine of classes, cooking, cultivation, Soul Tool study, and necromancy 14 19 30 39.

Tian Meng’s ambition is to attain eternal life by helping a human become a god. Her generosity toward Tang Qi and Yutong also serves that goal: she fears being abandoned if the others ascend without her.
