The relocation of the villagers to the Orchid Grass Resettlement Community could be considered the first major undertaking in Bunta City's comprehensive redevelopment project. It marked the project officially getting on track, so when the first group of villagers moved in, the City Lord's Manor held a grand ceremony for the occasion. Count Samo even attended in person to preside over it.
Besides Count Samo, all the major merchant guilds in the city sent representatives to attend the ceremony.
Naturally, the Xinfei Merchant Guild and the Amli Merchant Guild, which were chiefly responsible for this project, were the focus of everyone's attention.
When Xu Yi and Kennard arrived, the ceremony had yet to officially begin. President Cruz of the Amli Merchant Guild spotted Xu Yi and immediately came over.
"Well, President Xu? We did a fine job building this resettlement community, didn't we?" President Cruz asked Xu Yi with a smug expression.
Xu Yi glanced at him, amused. "I've praised it plenty of times already. Why are you asking me again? If you want credit for your work, look, the city lord is right over there. You should go to him."
"Haha, your Xinfei Merchant Guild did pay our Amli Merchant Guild to build this project, after all. Now that it's officially complete, of course I should report to you first, as the one footing the bill. As for the city lord, he already gave us plenty of praise just now."
"As long as the city lord is satisfied too, that's what matters." Xu Yi patted President Cruz on the shoulder and smiled. "President Cruz, since you've done such a good job on the first project, the city lord won't give the series of projects to follow to any other merchant guild. If the Amli Merchant Guild takes on all
