Most agricultural magic machinery required substantial power, and supplying that power naturally called for more powerful magic. Among the mages currently working with Xu Yi, none except Great Mage Camilla had that ability.
Xu Yi was now gradually dividing the Research Institute into two sections. One consisted of Stille, Avita, and Akali, who mainly researched the magic arrays needed for low-powered household magic machinery. The other consisted, for the moment, of Great Mage Camilla alone, who mainly handled heavy magic machinery that required high power.
Since Xu Yi was currently the only person capable of combining magic with machinery, however, he had to participate in both sides of the research.
This was certainly not an ideal situation.
Xu Yi could not carry out all the mechanical engineering research alone. Only by enabling more and more mages to develop abilities comparable to his could their research capabilities continue to grow.
