According to the schedule, the Bunta City Road Bicycle Race ended two days before the Bunta City round of the Xinfei Cycling Championship officially opened.
The opening of this round also marked the official start of this year's Xinfei Cycling Championship.
Since last year's overall champion had won a total of eighty-four thousand gold coins in prize money, this year's Xinfei Cycling Championship attracted much broader attention.
For an entire week, from before the Bunta City round of the Xinfei Cycling Championship began until it ended, newspapers across the Lampari Kingdom, and even some in neighboring countries, provided extremely detailed coverage of the event.
This coverage gave the bicycle merchant guilds participating in the event considerable exposure, earning greater recognition for their bicycle brands.
When the Xinfei Cycling Championship round ended, a rider from the Anjet Merchant Guild took the championship and its five-thousand-gold-coin prize. Only then did the frenzy of interest in bicycles, which had lasted half a month, finally subside a little.
During that half month, the frenzy brought a substantial increase in bicycle sales for every merchant guild participating in the races.
Leaving aside the Xinfei Merchant Guild, of the other seven bicycle merchant guilds participating, the Anjet Merchant Guild saw the most astonishing growth. It actually sold more than seventy-six hundred bicycles in that half month, an increase of over three hundred percent compared with the previous month's sales!
The other six bicycle merchant guilds also saw varying increases in sales, with the lowest exceeding fifty percent and the highest approaching two hundred percent.
By comparison, the Xinfei Merchant Guild actually saw the smallest increase in bicycle sales, just seventeen percent over the previous month.
Yet even that mere seventeen-percent increase represented a far greater number of bicycles than the increase achieved by the Anjet Merchant
