The mysterious visitor stood up and pulled back the hood that covered her entire head, revealing a beautiful face with a hint of boldness and a pair of long, pointed ears.
It was Anise, the female elf Xu Yi had met during his last visit to the Angola Tribe.
"I still don't trust humans," Anise said. She did not seem to catch the teasing in Xu Yi's voice, and her expression remained calm. "If the elder hadn't said that the drawing you provided might help solve our tribe's problem, I wouldn't have been sent here."
Xu Yi smiled and stopped wasting time on pointless exchanges. He invited Anise to sit down again, poured her a glass of cooled boiled water as she requested, then sat across from her and took out the drawing Alex had brought him earlier.
This was the very drawing Xu Yi had left with Chief Monto before leaving the Angola Tribe, asking him to pass it on to Anise. Thus, when he saw it and heard from Alex that the visitor refused even to show her face, he immediately guessed that she must be Anise.
"Miss Anise, from what you're saying, not only have you seen this drawing, but you've also taken it back to show your tribe's elder?" Xu Yi asked.
"Yes." Anise nodded. "After looking at it, the elder felt that your proposed method had a good chance of working, so she sent me to ask you what we would need to do to put it into practice."
Xu Yi picked up the drawing and glanced at it. His proposal had been devised by drawing on many similar cases on Earth, so naturally, it was highly feasible.
"I'm sorry, Miss Anise, but I'm afraid I can't tell you exactly what to do." Xu Yi
