Captain Aver jumped straight down from the Mana Armored Vehicle. His feet had barely touched the ground when three people in Xinfei Merchant Guild work uniforms-two men and a woman-came up to him.
One of the young men held out his hand to Captain Aver.
"Captain Aver, please give us your combat report for this mission."
Captain Aver jerked his thumb behind him. "Ask that fellow back there. I have to report to my superior first."
The three nodded, went around him, and took the combat report from Pete. After looking through it, the woman returned to the Mana Armored Vehicle with Pete and Sarkmaran, while the two men inspected the vehicle with Robben and Marco respectively.
Watching them get back to work, Captain Aver shook his head. The Xinfei Merchant Guild really was a nuisance. Fortunately, he did not have to deal with these people himself.
All three were engineers from the Xinfei Merchant Guild. Apparently, the guild had sent them here so they could inspect and repair the Northern Garrison's Military Magic Machinery at any time.
Their main responsibility was handling matters related to the Special Operations Battalion's Mana Armored Vehicles. Every time Captain Aver and his men returned from a mission, they had to submit a detailed combat report recording everything they had experienced in battle.
Most importantly, they had to record how any unexpected incidents during combat had affected the Mana Armored Vehicles.
The Xinfei Merchant Guild explained that these combat reports allowed them to gather data on the Mana Armored Vehicles' performance in actual combat, which they could then use to improve the vehicles.
To that end, the engineers also constantly sought the opinions of the soldiers who actually operated these Mana Armored Vehicles.
To obtain firsthand information, the engineers never tired of asking questions.
