Lorgar stood at the edge of the enormous breach torn through the hull of the Soul of the Yellow Sands.

The cold radiation of the Void and the deathly vacuum enveloped him, but he felt none of it.

His golden eyes remained unblinking, fixed on the Planet beyond the viewport as it underwent a strange transformation.

The desert Planet, once a lifeless dark yellow, was now coming "alive" before his eyes.

The seas of sand across its surface began to flow and rotate slowly in defiance of physical law, forming vast, orderly vortices and patterns, like a pupil with a pulse and breath of its own.

The Planet's color deepened as well, shifting from dark yellow to an ominous dark gold with a metallic sheen. Even the flowing glimmer peculiar to Saladin's psychic energy occasionally flickered across its surface.

The entire Planet was transforming from a lifeless mass of rock into some kind of vessel.

The Emperor's power subsided within him, leaving not only a hollow absence of strength, but also a heavy sense of responsibility and the resolve to end this with his own hands.

"Hah..."

A long, heavy sigh escaped Lorgar's lips, instantly swallowed by the vacuum. It made no sound, yet seemed to drain all warmth from his surroundings.

Rather than dimming after his brief victory, the golden light in his eyes settled into a cold gleam of absolute sharpness, like frost gathering on a drawn blade, pinned unwaveringly on the Planet.

"Saladin, why can't you just stay dead?"

As his words fell, lights began to flicker and converge in the Void behind him, as though answering the summons of the Primarch's will.

The elegant, deadly silhouette of the Law of Faith emerged from the Warp first, followed by the War Hounds' brutish Conqueror, the Night Lords'
