Arc 17The Superstar Awakens

Lorgar defeated Saladin and returned to Colchis to recover, but an investigation on Yriel's World led him to the ancient Superstar, a human-built weapon capable of destroying stars. As he began planning to turn it into a military asset, the ship's systems trapped him and threatened to purge him.

  • Lorgar fought Saladin across the Hall and, with the Emperor's power and the aid of the Heroic Spirits, bound him before the Golden Cross.
  • The Emperor executed Saladin, and Lorgar returned to Colchis to recover and oversee its affairs.
  • Lorgar visited Colchis's people and recruitment offices, then was alerted that an exploration team on Yriel's World had vanished.
  • Lorgar found the buried Superstar and confronted Trazyn, who freed the frozen survey team and revealed the vessel could destroy a star.
  • Lorgar secured the armory schematics and discovered that the Superstar had once been advertised as a luxury ship with a nightly star-destroying display.
  • Lorgar interpreted the vessel as a potential mobile fortress, gave the Adeptus Mechanicus authority to study it, and planned to repurpose it for his secret blueprint.
  • A machine aboard the Superstar welcomed Lorgar, but communications failed, the corridor sealed around him, and a human-looking figure threatened to begin a purge.
