The Mekboy Boy held the pistol, then scratched his head with a scrap of iron he was using as a wrench.

"I reckon this thing's gonna pack a punch."

As his thick finger pulled the trigger, the pistol seemed to do nothing at all.

Instead, it let out a puff of smoke.

Iax had already prepared to warp out of the way, but apparently this thing might not work.

Looking puzzled, the Mekboy Boy shook the smoking pistol, which had yet to explode, fiddled with it briefly, then pulled the trigger again.

It gave off even more smoke.

He shook the weapon again, its muzzle seemingly pointing by chance at Iax, who stood nearby.

"Zap!"

A thick beam suddenly shot out of the muzzle and struck Iax's metal body.

The Mekboy Boy, possessed by Mork, clutched his energy pistol and ran straight toward the nearby Gorkanaut without looking back.

He shouted as he ran.

"I knew it'd work! I'm the best of all us Orks!"

The Tech-Priests, who had merely been watching, first jumped in fright, then swung their Power Axes at the Ork.

Although the Tech-Priests' combat abilities were feeble compared with those of the Astartes, that was only a relative comparison.

To ordinary mortal soldiers, these Priests with their extensive mechanical augmentations were actually quite formidable.

Especially those whose modifications were more extreme.
