Background / History

Huo Yuhao has lived on the Douluo Continent for six years when the story begins. His memories of the original story lead him to expect Spirit Eyes and a difficult childhood, but his awakening instead produces Qiongqi, one of the Four Fiends. As an unwanted illegitimate son, he and Huo Yun’er live in the servants’ courtyard of the White Tiger Duke’s Mansion 1.

He treats his exceptional talent as an immediate security risk. Fearing that the Duchess will see him as a threat, he warns his mother against household food and pastries sent by her. A suspicious fire subsequently destroys Huo Yun’er’s room; an elderly woman rescues her, while the steward prevents Yuhao from entering the flames. Yuhao suspects arson but withholds an accusation until he can protect himself and retaliate 1 2.

Dai Hao returns after learning of his innate full soul power. Yuhao confronts him over his absence and exposes the household’s refusal to recognize his Dai surname. Dai Hao publicly acknowledges him among Star Luo nobles, supplies cultivation resources, and helps obtain his first ring. He then takes the six-year-old to the Brightmoon Mountain Range’s military camp to train him as a successor, despite Yuhao’s objections 3 4 5 6.

During the following years, Yuhao becomes a trusted military adviser.
