Confrontation with Shrek Academy

Ye Zhiqiu accompanies seven students—six boys and one girl—to an inn where Shrek Academy’s students are staying. Ma Hongjun and Dai Mubai openly disparage the academy and make remarks about its female student, provoking a confrontation 349 350.

Ye Zhiqiu intervenes, orders his students to retreat, and demands to know which sect the aggressors belong to. After hearing that they come from Shrek Academy, his vision darkens and his mind wavers. The subsequent fight explicitly identifies him as being controlled by Qin Dongdong, rather than acting independently 350 351.

Outside the town, the controlled Ye Zhiqiu offers Shrek an opportunity to admit fault. When Dai Mubai insists that strength determines who is right, Ye Zhiqiu orders his students to beat the opponents after he subdues them, but forbids killing or crippling them. He defeats six Shrek students in less than a minute and a half, then stops the beating before it becomes fatal 351.

The punishment continues with forced declarations that Shrek is a fraudulent academy. Ye Zhiqiu demands that Dai Mubai kneel and apologize to the girl he harassed, offering the alternative of crawling through the male students’ legs 352. A later passage recalls that Tang San and Oscar were also made to kneel 455.

Aftermath

Ma Hongjun suffers lasting damage to his reproductive organs from Ye Zhiqiu’s kick. Although most injuries from the encounter heal, this injury remains a recurring source of distress and resentment 353 358 363.

Tang San states that Ye Zhiqiu fled overnight after the fight. Unaware of Qin Dongdong’s control, the reborn Shrek students speculate that his unexpected strength might mean he was also reincarnated. Tang San dismisses him as a minor figure and proposes killing him when they eventually destroy Blue Sunshine Academy 359.
