Qingyun led the Flying Fortress to the Ōtsutsuki Planet, where he and his allies launched an assault on the Ōtsutsuki Clan. The fighting began across the planet as Qingyun headed toward the Ancestral Land and Madara Uchiha and the others engaged the clan’s experts.
Hinata Hyuga defeated the Ōtsutsuki First Elder and helped the others wipe out the Ōtsutsuki Clan's forces on the planet. Qingyun confronted the God of Ōtsutsuki at the Ancestral Land, and their battle remained hidden inside his Tai Chi barrier.
Qingyun defeated the God of Ōtsutsuki with Tai Chi Fist and Infinite Mahā, then refined him into bloodline essence and absorbed his power. Ten years later, Qingyun was still cultivating inside the Tai Chi Yin-Yang Diagram while Kushina and the others waited aboard the Flying Fortress.
After ten years of Qingyun’s seclusion, the Shinobi World had become peaceful and technologically advanced while his companions explored other worlds and built families. Qingyun reached the earthly immortal realm’s limit, discovered the Dimensional Rift dojutsu, and began seeking a way through a gray dimension back to the real world.
Qingyun's Tai Chi practice dissolves the universe and transforms his martial dao golden core into the source of a renewed cosmos. After discovering that his Vertical Third Eye can restore him, he emerges reborn and reunites with Tsunade and the other women.
After ten years in seclusion, Qingyun reunited with Tsunade, Kushina, Miroku, and Konan, then visited the Pokémon World where Shion had been exploring. He gathered his family to return to the Shinobi World before leaving the Universe for his homeland.
Qingyun returned to Konoha with Tsunade, Kushina, Miroku, Konan, and Shion, where he met Naruto and Hanabi’s son, Boruto Uzumaki. Boruto told his classmates that his Great-Granduncle was back, leaving them stunned by the news.
Qingyun returned to the Central Estate with Tsunade and the others, where Hanabi introduced him to her daughter, Himawari. After Naruto gathered Konoha’s leaders and fighters to see Qingyun, he announced that he had come to say goodbye, prompting Hinata to ask to go with him.
Qingyun told Hinata Hyuga and his friends that he planned to leave the two-dimensional Universe for reality, though he could not promise they could return. Minato Namikaze and Neji Hyuga chose to stay and protect their home, while Qingyun prepared for his departure and reunited with the Divine Condor.
Qingyun reassured the Divine Condor that he would never leave it behind, then showed Boruto Uzumaki that he could not retain Qingyun’s cultivation technique and helped him awaken his Jōgan instead. When Madara Uchiha returned from Interstellar Space, Qingyun effortlessly sent him flying with a flick and revealed that no one in the Universe could match his strength.
After three years of farewells and preparations, Qingyun left the Shinobi World with Tsunade and the others, and Hinata Hyuga chose to join them. At the Universe’s weak point, a new system mission led Qingyun to pause their departure and search for a planet where he could spread the Martial Way.
Qingyun found an Earth-like world where intelligent humans were only beginning to develop, and decided to spread the Martial Way there. After observing the people for three years, he taught a curious primitive man how to make fire and promised to train him.
Qingyun taught Suiren cultivation and martial arts, then named him and trained Youchao and Ziyi to help their people. After Suiren learned to make fire, Ziyi discovered how to use animal hides for clothing, and Youchao built a house; Qingyun sent the three disciples back to aid their clans.
Suiren, Youchao, and Ziyi led humanity through a crisis of extreme weather and rampaging Fierce Beasts, prompting Ziyi to seek Qingyun’s help. As Qingyun wondered why his mission to spread the Martial Way remained incomplete, the system offered him two choices for a new mission, and he learned that choosing one would convert the Shinobi World’s martial energy into chakra.
Qingyun transferred the Shinobi World's fortune and martial cultivation into this world, ending its severe weather and helping its people survive the rampaging Fierce Beasts. After the beasts withdrew, four women gave birth to the Children of Destiny, who smiled at Qingyun.
Fuxi eased humanity’s food shortage and became its common ruler, then created the Innate Eight Trigrams, writing, marriage rules, and musical instruments. Meanwhile, the Yeyou Clan expanded through brutal planetary conquests as Qingyun forged an eternal vessel for his Martial Way.
Shennong discovered the Five Grains, became humanity’s common ruler, and later compiled a Medical Classic while tasting herbs. Meanwhile, Xuanyuan and Chiyou’s opposing approaches to tribal disputes split humanity and sparked civil war, with Shennong returning to support Xuanyuan.
Xuanyuan and Shennong fought Chiyou for control of humanity, and Xuanyuan defeated Chiyou’s forces at Zhuolu with an ambush and the South-Pointing Chariot. As Xuanyuan and Shennong moved to kill the weakened Chiyou, Qingyun stopped them and asked Chiyou to answer their accusations.
Qingyun explained why humanity needed to preserve its fighting spirit, then completed the God of War Hall as a repository of martial arts. In Konoha, Boruto discovered that an outside race had begun possessing people and warned Naruto that the Fifth Shinobi World War was imminent.
Qingyun left the Yeyou World after entrusting the human race with the God of War Hall and returned to reality, where ancient gods and ferocious beasts had plunged Earth into disaster. Reunited with Qibai and remembered as Xiaoran, he began a new journey by rescuing the people of Linchuan City and declaring his intent to rise to the top of this world and the Primordial.
