Arc 4The Nine-Tails Transfer
Qingyun grew stronger while defending Konoha’s supply lines and helping Tsunade’s forces survive Sunagakure and Hanzō. After Mito transferred the Nine-Tails to Kushina and died, Qingyun left for the Land of Rain, where Tsunade, Orochimaru, and Jiraiya were facing Hanzō’s trap.
- Qingyun escorted Shinnosuke Sarutobi’s supply convoy, helped defeat Rasa’s ambush, and joined Tsunade and Orochimaru at the Front Lines.
- Qingyun rejected Yakushi Nonō’s attempt to recruit him for Root, then fought alongside Tsunade against Chiyo and Rasa.
- Qingyun lured Sunagakure’s forces away from their camp and used Kirin, while Hanzō’s poison attack devastated Konoha’s camp and Dan Katō died.
- Qingyun and Tsunade developed antiserums for the poisons, and Qingyun returned to Konoha to recover and speak with Mito Uzumaki.
- Mito gave Qingyun the Scroll of Seals and transferred the Nine-Tails into Kushina before passing away.
- Hiruzen Sarutobi promoted Qingyun to Special Jōnin and accepted his plan to return to the Land of Rain, while Qingyun promised Kushina he would help her control the Nine-Tails.
- Qingyun raced toward the Front Lines as Hatake Sakumo followed in secret, while Hanzō trapped Tsunade, Orochimaru, and Jiraiya at Swallowfall Gorge with poison.
