Orochimaru’s attack unleashed reanimated Kage and tailed beasts on Konoha, but Naruto returned in a new form and helped end the conflict across the villages. After the aftermath reshaped Konoha’s leadership, adult Sasuke and Boruto arrived from another time as Jiraiya became Fifth Hokage.

• Orochimaru summoned five reanimated Kage and tried to place them under his control, but Jiraiya, Minato, and Tobirama disrupted his plans and turned the battle against him.
• Tailed beasts and Shisui Uchiha attacked Konoha, and Naruto returned in Metamorphosis Mode to defeat Shisui before joining Kurama against the rampaging beasts.
• Naruto and Kurama drove the tailed beasts through Sunagakure and Kirigakure, while Konoha’s forces contained the crisis and the wider war ended within half a day.

Adult Sasuke and the young shinobi prepared to stop Urashiki while Konoha formed Kindling and investigated threats to the tailed beasts. After Urashiki escaped and the village began training for future dangers, Naruto sent Adult Sasuke to contact Itachi about the Daimyo’s disappearance.

• The Hokage appointed Sasuke and Neji as captains of Kindling, a secret organization tasked with protecting Naruto and Kurama, while Adult Sasuke reunited with his younger self and learned about his family.
• Urashiki attacked the Forest of Death, but Hashirama, Tobirama, and Minato trapped and poisoned him before he escaped, and another Urashiki then consumed the injured one to gain power.
• Jiraiya promoted Sasuke, Hinata, Shikamaru, Neji, and Rock Lee to Chunin and Naruto to Jonin as the Hokage organized a response to Urashiki and the tailed beasts’ altered state.

Naruto’s group traveled to the moon, where Neji inherited Hamura’s legacy and they went to rescue Toneri from the Scum.

• Jiraiya learned from the Great Toad Sage that his prophecy might still lie ahead, just as Itachi and Kisame approached Konoha.
• Itachi and Kisame entered Konoha to investigate, but Kisame encountered Hidan and Itachi went to the hospital, where Tsunade found no sign of the illness Sasuke had described.
• Minato and Kushina broke Shukaku’s seal, releasing Himawari, who explained that Boruto had hidden her chakra as a backup against an Ōtsutsuki threat.
• Shukaku recounted how divine arts altered memories, Sasuke died delivering a warning, and Naruto used Sasuke’s eye to recreate the world, leaving the present Shinobi World wary that the enemy might have survived.
• Momoshiki awakened inside Boruto and fought Kisame until Naruto intervened, then Naruto took Boruto, Neji, and Hinata to the moon to seek answers from Toneri.
