After everyone paid their fees at the Finance Department, they returned to the classroom.
"All right, now we'll start the lesson," Kakuzu said slowly as he looked at everyone.
Then he pulled out a stack of little booklets from by his feet and handed them out one by one.
"Okay, class dismissed. Everything on the Subject One test is in there. Go read it yourselves." With that, Kakuzu turned and left.
Ridiculous. I'm a Finance Manager with a million things to do every day. How could I waste all my time on something like this?
Hashirama stared blankly at Kakuzu's retreating figure...
That's it?? That's it? We're done already??
I paid thirty thousand ryo, you know? You're just giving me a little booklet and calling it a day???
Veins bulged on Madara Uchiha's forehead. That's it? That's it? Isn't this just a waste of my time?
Madara Uchiha stood up, intending to have a friendly little chat with Kakuzu, but Kakuzu had already left the classroom.
Hashirama and Madara looked out the window. They saw Kakuzu slowly put on his sunglasses, open the door of the sports car in front of him, ease into the seat, and drive off. Watching that effortlessly cool departure filled Hashirama with longing. When would he get to be like Kakuzu...?
Hashirama slipped into his own little world, letting out a chuckle every so often...
Madara Uchiha cast an indifferent glance at Hashirama, who was grinning foolishly beside him. What an idiot...
Meanwhile, Jijibo had brought his band of Bandits here several days ago. They had spent those days doing nothing, with no idea what they were supposed to do.
"Um, Mr. Orochiroku, is there really nothing you need us to do?" Jijibo swallowed. They had been eating and drinking here for free for days.
