"Dave! Tell me! How is your uncle B uglier than those two?!" Hashirama's face darkened at Dave's words, and he roared indignantly.
It's been almost a year, for fuck's sake! Dave, why do you still think your uncle's ugly? What's ugly about me? Are they handsome? They're just a couple of single losers!
"Now, now, Hashirama, don't be so petty. Right? Look, Dave's only telling the truth." Izuna smiled, walked over to Hashirama, and patted his shoulder mockingly.
Izuna wanted to pay back every grievance he had suffered at the hands of the Senju Clan during the Warring States years.
"Hashirama, go back and keep putting on your face masks," Madara added coldly from the side.
Hashirama immediately sank into Kage...
"How much longer are you going to stand out there? The food's ready," Mito called as she came out of the house and looked over at them.
They hurried inside, gathered around the table, and began eating.
"Dave, thank you," Izuna said to Dave with a smile.
His older brother had told him yesterday what had happened over the years. What he found hardest to accept was that Tobirama actually had a son. And that son had been the one to revive him? At the time, Izuna had looked as miserable as if he had swallowed a fly... But his Older Brother had also told him that Dave was a good boy, B far better than his disgusting father, and that he mustn't bully him.
"Oh, Uncle Izuna, don't mention it. Uncle Madara's been so good to me. I didn't want to see him looking so sad every day," Dave replied with a smile.
"Right, right! Izuna, now that you're alive again, and Madara's and my dream has come true, just enjoy your life in the village! I'll take you dancing in a couple of days! You know, belly dance is the greatest of all time!" Hashirama said cheerfully beside them.
Izuna was alive again. Given how protective Madara was of his little brother, he certainly wouldn't go wandering off anymore. He would stay in the village every day, which meant Hashirama could see him every day! Hehehe! In another year or two, I'll ditch the Hokage position and hang out with Madara every day! We'll dance together, play claw machines, play mobile games, soak in hot springs... Hashirama was bursting with joy inside. He was already looking forward to growing old with Madara.
"Tch. Izuna, I'll take you dancing in a couple of days. Hmph, Hashirama's dancing is garbage. Don't let him ruin your taste in dance," Madara said disdainfully when he heard Hashirama.
When it comes to dancing, I, Madara, am the strongest in Konoha.
"Hey, hey, hey! You've lost to my belly dance several times already, you know?" Hashirama protested indignantly.
"Heh. Hashirama, don't make me bring out my pole dance," Madara said with a cold chuckle.
"Pfft!" Dave, who was shoveling rice into his mouth, heard Madara say "pole dance" and immediately pictured Madara in black stockings that day. He spat out his mouthful of rice.
"Dave, what's wrong? Is this some aftereffect of reviving Izuna yesterday?" Startled, Mito hurriedly grabbed a tissue and wiped his mouth as she asked.
At her words, Madara and Izuna also looked anxiously at Dave. If reviving Izuna really had left Dave with some lingering side effects, they would feel absolutely awful.
"I'm fine, Auntie. I just thought of something funny," Dave said with a smile, waving his hand.
"You scared your auntie half to death. Don't let your mind wander while you're eating." Mito gave Dave's head a chiding pat and spoke helplessly.
"Izuna, now that you've been revived, are you thinking of getting married?" Having just relaxed after seeing that Dave was fine, Izuna had barely taken two more mouthfuls when he heard Mito's question and spat out his rice.
Hashirama shook his head helplessly at her question. Ever since Mito had taken up square dancing, she had become much brighter and livelier, and had made lots of friends.
But... those friends were all aunties in their forties and fifties... They loved gossiping about things like who in which family had died, who had been cheated on, who was getting married, or which man was nearly forty and still unmarried and needed someone to introduce him to a match... Mito's eyes had lit up when she heard someone was almost forty, but once she learned it was a man, she had fallen silent. Madara and Tobirama still didn't seem to be married...
Madara: ???
Tobirama: ???
Mito had befriended them while square dancing, and they had been a bad influence on her... Every day, she came home and told him who in the clan ought to get married, or who in the clan had gotten together... Hashirama got a headache every day when he came home...
Madara picked up a tissue and wiped Izuna's mouth after he spat out his rice. The tenderness in his eyes left Hashirama terribly envious... Why had Madara never treated him like that...?
"I'll wait and see. I don't really have any plans. Just being alive again and seeing my Older Brother already makes me very happy," Izuna replied with a smile, casting a tender glance at Madara as he wiped his mouth.
Dave, who had just been about to scoop up some rice, twitched at the corners of his mouth... Th-this... this family affection is slowly turning into something else...
"No, Izuna. You were revived at the age you were when you died. You're only in your twenties now, so you can still find a woman to marry. Your big brother's nearly forty already. I can't stay with you for the rest of your life," Madara said.
Madara's eyes were full of concern for his little brother.
"Yes, yes, Madara's right, Izuna. You're only in your twenties, you're handsome, and you're strong. There must be plenty of girls who would like you," Mito quickly chimed in to persuade him...
Izuna's head hurt... He was just about to say something... when Madara interrupted him.
"Hmm, Mito, do you know any women you could introduce him to?" Madara asked. He knew she had been going square dancing every day for the past few months, so she must have heard plenty of news around the village. The Uchiha Clan's bloodline certainly couldn't be allowed to spread outside the clan, but that didn't mean they couldn't bring someone in, did it?
Mito's eyes lit up at Madara's words.
"Madara, let me tell you, there's a young woman in the Mita family at the eastern end of the village. She's sixteen, and I'm telling you, she's skilled at Kurenai needlework and everything else!"
"Hmm, she's worth considering."
"And there's also a young woman in the Nara Clan named Yui Nara. She's quite strong, and she loves square dancing. Her temperament leaves a little to be desired, but she still treats people very well."
"Hmm... she's worth considering too."
"There's also a blonde woman in the Yamanaka Clan named Tsubasa Yamanaka. She's a little plump, but that means she'll be good at bearing children."
"...That works too."
And just like that, a perfectly good meal turned into a little matchmaking information session for Izuna... Mito's descriptions were wonderfully vivid... Madara listened very attentively, too. After all, this was the important matter of his little brother's marriage.
Izuna's face was ashen... He wondered what exactly he had been brought back to life for...
