Arc 4The Uchiha Return to Konoha
Madara returned to Konoha, helped end the Uchiha Hardliners’ rebellion plans, and earned the village’s trust while rising toward jōnin rank. As he prepared for another assassination mission, political maneuvering continued around the Uchiha, and Danzo ordered Root to kill him.
- Madara escorted Shinhiko Kōzuki safely home and received the Futsu-no-Mitama sword, while Konoha’s leaders debated the Uchiha Clan’s role in the mission.
- Madara rejected the Hardliners’ plans to leave Konoha or unleash the Nine-Tailed Fox, defeated Uchiha Ajin, and persuaded the clan to abandon rebellion.
- The Third Hokage apologized to the Uchiha and restored their central district patrols, while Madara proposed a new Military Police Force headquarters and received a secret Ninjutsu Scroll.
- Madara learned the Flying Thunder God Technique, completed an S-rank mission with Kakashi Hatake, and impressed Konoha’s leaders with his skill.
- Madara’s family and clan gathered at the new headquarters, while Danzo traded information about Madara’s whereabouts and the Third Hokage sent him on further assassinations.
- Shikaku Nara explained that Madara’s promotion assessment had also tested clan support for Uchiha Itachi, and Madara chose Might Guy as his partner for the mission against Tanaka Qinghai.
- Madara and Guy fought to a draw, then prepared to travel to the Land of Lightning as Mikoto arranged a dinner with the Yamanaka, Nara, and Akimichi families.
- Danzo ordered Yamanaka Fū and five elite Root operatives to kill Madara during the mission.
