As Madara spoke, he showed Sasuke his Mangekyō Sharingan, then immediately deactivated it.
"As for the Mangekyō Sharingan, avoid using it whenever you can. If you use it too often, you'll go completely blind."
In response to Sasuke's questions, Madara warned him about the Mangekyō Sharingan, then looked at him again. He knew Sasuke had come to him for more than just that.
"I killed someone today."
Facing his Older Brother, Sasuke opened his heart without hesitation.
"It was my first time killing someone. His name was Ranmaru, and he nearly killed Jūgo and Neji. When his Wind Blade pierced Neji, I felt blood rush to my head. Then I awakened my Mangekyō Sharingan. Older Brother, did I do the right thing?"
"He wanted to kill you, and you killed him instead. There's no right or wrong about it. It's only natural."
The Painter of Thought was about to begin painting.
"Sasuke, Naruto's dream is to become Hokage. What's yours?"
Sasuke froze for a moment when Madara said there was no question of right or wrong in his killing someone. It was an answer he hadn't expected.
After all, the Ninja Academy had always taught him not to kill indiscriminately, and under the Third Hokage's leadership, Konoha as a whole didn't glorify killing.
"My dream? I'm not sure. Maybe to be someone like Father, helping Naruto protect the peace in Konoha after he becomes Hokage."
Sasuke hesitantly offered his answer to Madara's question.
"That's all?"

Watching Sasuke grow flustered by his question, Madara pressed further.
If that was all Sasuke dreamed of, then Madara's guidance over the past decade and more would have been a complete failure. He didn't believe a child he had raised would have so little ambition.
