Within the Solomon Islands' sphere of influence, no one had anywhere to hide, especially with Pokémon corpses available for comparison.
Unfortunately, before they could confront anyone from the Australia Alliance, the other side had already sent word of how the matter had been handled.
They claimed that three Pokémon Trainers had coveted Xiao Ran's Legendary Pokémon and resented him and Veranica for winning, so they had attempted to ambush and kill them to steal their Pokémon. The three had now been escorted back to the court at the Australia Alliance headquarters to await trial.
"Ridiculous! Sending them back to their own court for trial? Isn't that obviously a cover-up?" Yun Mengqiu slammed the table in anger.
"What can we do? This is Australia's territory, after all. Besides, they did send us all these gifts to express their concern, didn't they?" Xiao Ran held a box of strawberry candy, examining it with interest.
The Diplomat had sent someone to deliver all these gifts. They were supposedly tokens of concern, but everyone knew perfectly well that they were compensation for the failed attack.
Xiao Ran and the others accepted everything without standing on ceremony. After all, this was Australian territory, and making too much of a scene would do them no good.
Turning an affair involving such a minor figure into an international incident simply wasn't worth it. Anyone who wanted to achieve great things needed to keep the bigger picture in mind.
Unless he could make the Australia Alliance pay dearly, Xiao Ran really had no interest in petty squabbles.
The gifts they had sent, however, did show a measure of sincerity.
Among them was one Pokémon each of the Fairy-type, Dragon-type, and Psychic-type. Xiao Ran took the precious Togepi, while the remaining Trapinch and Espurr went to Veranica.
Those three
