Both men were Awakened, and after establishing Mental Resonance, they commanded their Pokémon without a sound. Laud had therefore arranged for two commentators to explain the battle to the audience.
After all, this battle put both nations' reputations on the line. Judging by their apparent strength, all of Mo'er's Pokémon were Elite Class, and he had two Gym Leader Class Pokémon at his disposal, giving him a strong chance of winning.
"Aaaah!" A tremendous cry suddenly rang out, making the Gardevoir singing Disarming Voice shudder.
"Hyper Voice! It's Hyper Voice! Mo'er's Gardevoir has shattered Xiao Ran's Gardevoir's Disarming Voice in a single move! It's also inflicted tremendous damage!" the commentator shouted excitedly. As a citizen of the Federation Empire, he was naturally delighted to see Mo'er gain the upper hand.
"Ugh..." A muffled groan echoed in Xiao Ran's mind, the result of the energy shock transmitted through Mental Resonance. It also demonstrated just how powerful their opponent was: a single Hyper Voice had undone all the efforts he and Gardevoir had made.
Under Hyper Voice's barrage, all of Gardevoir's doubles had been dispersed. Gardevoir now stood completely exposed before the opponent, and perhaps a single Psychic would be enough to secure an easy victory.
Neither Xiao Ran nor Gardevoir panicked, however. A glint of determination flashed in their eyes.

Explosions rang out one after another, rapidly spreading across the entire Battlefield. Before Mo'er's Gardevoir could act, the explosions had already left the arena in ruins, sending dust flying everywhere. Even the spectators could feel the ground shaking, as though an earthquake had struck.
"Explosions! These are explosions! The entire arena is blowing up! I can feel the force of the blasts even up here in the commentary booth! Oh my God, what is going
