"Something went wrong over at the Dynamax Den!" Terrakion said bitterly, glancing at Cobalion beside him.
"You should know there's an enormous Dynamax Den in the Crown Tundra. A huge number of Dynamax Pokémon live there, and some have even reached Champion Class!"
Cobalion froze at his words. "So you went and picked a fight with those Dynamax Pokémon?"
Everyone looked puzzled, but after a moment's thought, Xiao Ran began to understand.
There was indeed a special Dynamax Den in the Crown Tundra.
In the game, it was the entrance to the Crown Tundra, a mandatory part of the story before the main plot began.
They had flown all the way here, so they had never spotted the Dynamax Den. He hadn't expected it to actually exist!
"No, I just go there from time to time to hone my skills. Otherwise, my bones would get stiff from sitting around all day. Don't you and Virizion go there often too?" Terrakion continued.
As members of the Swords of Justice, they were hardly the quiet, well-behaved sort. Going out to pick a fight now and then was perfectly normal.
"Yes, but we usually leave once we've fought enough, and they don't chase us out of the Dynamax Den. We only do it to sharpen our fighting spirit!" Cobalion nodded.
"Exactly. But this time, a group of humans showed up. They were frantically catching the Pokémon in the Dynamax Den, and they even tried to catch me. That's why I fought them. I almost didn't make it back!" Terrakion said dejectedly.
His words sent a jolt through Xiao Ran and the others, however, and they exchanged startled, uncertain looks. "Are you sure they were humans? Did they have any distinguishing features?"
"Distinguishing features? They were all wearing grayish-white robes?"
"It's the Doomsday Cult.
