"Give me some Sleep Powder!" Xiao Ran took a half-eaten jar of honey from his bag and held it out in front of Bai Tingjiao's Petilil.
"Huh? Oh, right!" Bai Tingjiao froze for a moment, then instructed Petilil to sprinkle Sleep Powder into it.
It was a move Grass-type Pokémon could learn very easily; only its potency varied. Xiao Ran wasn't sure whether this little bit of Sleep Powder would work, but it was better than waiting here to die.
"Roar!" They had only run a few dozen meters when a large brown bear with a yellow ring on its belly burst out of the woods.
The bear sniffed around before fixing its gaze on Xiao Ran and the others running ahead. With an angry roar, it charged after them.
Ursaring were hot-tempered, easily angered, and carnivorous. It was autumn now, exactly when they hunted to prepare for hibernation.
"There's no time!" Without checking how much powder had been added, Xiao Ran capped the jar and hurled it toward Ursaring.
Crash! The glass jar shattered, and the sweet scent of honey immediately spread through the air. Sure enough, it caught Ursaring's attention, and the Pokémon stopped where the honey jar had broken.
"Go, go!" Xiao Ran didn't dare linger. He led the others onward toward the mountain.
"Why does this student of yours... carry something like honey around?" Miao Yourou's face was full of bewilderment.
"I told you, he's also a Pokémon Breeder. Of course he'd bring things to cook something tasty while he's out." Qiu Yuxuan raised an eyebrow. Should she go join them for a meal later? Surely eating together wouldn't hurt?
