Far away on Amphoreus, Lygus broke into a cold sweat when he sensed the probing had ended-though, being a machine, he had no sweat to speak of.
While messaging Zhang Xiu, he had summoned the other Zandar fragments to help conceal Amphoreus's whereabouts.
Another dozen or so attempts would have been more than they could withstand, and even that was only because the Path of [Abundance] was ill-suited to probing.
"Hmm, what sort of miracle will you bring about in the end?"
Before the other Zandars left, Lygus was still debugging the new experimental variables to come. He seemed a little dazed, as though he could see that tiny figure in the laboratory back then.
"Kids, I'm back." Zhang Xiu pushed open the Astral Express's door and walked in, holding little Yaoshi's hand.
As for the big Yaoshi, she had no intention of staying long. She still had the Universe to roam, after all, and since they shared a single consciousness, it made no difference whether she stayed.
But...
She extended a gigantic finger and poked March 7th and Stelle right through the carriage, making both of them yelp.
She had wanted to poke Dan Heng too, but he stopped her with a look.
Once the big Yaoshi left, March 7th could no longer contain her curiosity. She turned to little Yaoshi and asked:
"So which of you is the real body?"
"Both. Though my bodies differ, my consciousness is one," Yaoshi said with a soft laugh.
"...Oh, so you poked me on purpose!" An angry vein bulged on March 7th's forehead.
Seeing her temper rise, Yaoshi's smile stiffened, and she immediately swallowed. "Uh, can we make peace?"
"What-do-you-think?"
March 7th pounced like a hungry wolf, seized Yaoshi's cheeks with both hands, and began kneading them.
"Husband, save me!"
