Returned to the Precelestial, it became a strand of Chaos Primordial Qi; brought into the Postcelestial world, it became a lake of pure water. It was vulnerable to the Postcelestial five elements and readily unfolded on its own into Postcelestial water. Once it became pure water, it had no use beyond drinking and raising fish. Thus, miraculous though it was, refining it into a Magic Treasure was virtually impossible.
First Phoenix did not know what other uses it had, either. She had never used it in over four hundred years. When Shi Feiyang asked for it, she feared he might doubt her sincerity and gave him every remaining drop, kindly reminding him, "Refining True Water takes an enormous amount of time and effort. You must search exhaustively for the Essence Qi of Ren-Gui Water and return it from the Postcelestial state to the Precelestial. Even if you neglect all your proper cultivation and do nothing but refine it every day, a century's work will only produce a dozen or so drops. It really is like chicken ribs—too little meat to eat, yet a pity to throw away."
