Gu Yuanqing defeated Ji Qingyun, advanced into the Fire Dao Realm, and learned that North Spring Mountain had entered the Demon Realm while remaining connected to the Floating World. As powerful visitors and new demands gathered around the mountain, he invited Zhang Xuanlin in to talk.

• Gu Yuanqing resisted Ji Qingyun’s Sky Burning Tower, completed his breakthrough into the Dao Fire Realm, captured Ji Qingyun with Heavenly Fishing, and returned the tower to Kuang Tongyi before questioning his captive about the Demon Refining Array.
• Gu Yuanqing awakened the Demon Subduing Sword, received Xu Lianying and gifts from the Imperial Family, and learned from Ji Qingyun that the Floating World might eventually fall into the Demon Realm.
• Gu Yuanqing used Heavenly Fishing to send spirit water to a dying child, then discovered that North Spring Mountain existed in both realms when its surroundings changed to a dangerous Demon Realm landscape.
• Gu Yuanqing fought off Demon Realm beasts, arranged for Zhang Zhuo and Little Li to leave supplies at the mountain entrance, and captured Lan Tinglie after defeating his attacks.
• Lan Tinglie explained the Dragon Demon Realm’s powers and cultivation levels, while Ji Qingyun said that a Heavenly Human cultivator’s split soul might descend into the Demon Realm.
• Gu Yuanqing rejected the Great Gong Venerable’s claim that the mountain owed rent, returned a fox cub to the pool, and left Great Qian to arrange access to the mountain as it wished.
• Zhang Xuanlin arrived at Lingxu Sect, and Gu Yuanqing advanced to the mid-stage Fire Dao Realm while continuing to study the mountain’s spatial changes.
• Zhang Xuanlin and Kuang Tongyi approached North Spring Mountain to ask about Ji Qingyun, and Gu Yuanqing warned them away before inviting Zhang Xuanlin onto the mountain to talk.

Gu Yuanqing strengthened North Spring Mountain, resisted the Heavenly Human Sacred Hall’s demands, and gathered materials to build his divine platform. As conflict between the Human Race and Demon Race began, he arranged for the Iron-Eating Tribe to help him obtain the remaining materials.

• Zhang Xuanlin discovered North Spring Mountain’s hidden space, and Gu Yuanqing sheltered him and Ji Qingyun while Xing Fei and Lu Jianqiu sought refuge from demons.
• Gu Yuanqing negotiated bamboo rent with the Iron-Eating Tribe, cultivated on North Spring Mountain, and welcomed visitors including Gu Yunying, Li Changyan, and Prince Qing.
• After the Heavenly King Bell summoned the Human Race to war, Gu Yuanqing refused the Heavenly Human Sacred Hall’s order to join, defeating Qiyang when he attacked.
• Gu Yuanqing mastered more of North Spring Mountain’s spatial power and concealed it from Chang Beilong and the Heavenly Hero Divine General.
• Gu Yuanqing arranged with Li Shi'an and Great Qian to find divine platform materials, welcomed cultivators to the mountain, and attended Gu Yuanying’s wedding to Li Changyan.
• Qin Wuya attacked Gu Yuanqing for the Demon Subduing Sword and scripture, but Gu Yuanqing struck his divine soul from North Spring Mountain and forced him to flee.

• After reaching the peak of the Fire Dao realm, Gu Yuanqing paid the Iron-Eating Tribe its rent and asked it to gather divine platform materials as fighting broke out between the Human Race and Demon Race.

Gu Yuanqing reached the Divine Platform Realm, discovered Li Chengyi was his son, and prepared the Floating World for the conflict foretold by the Heaven-Connecting Stele. When cultivators from the Slanting Moon World entered the Floating World, he began capturing and controlling them.

• Gu Yuanqing formed his Divine Soul, survived the Wind Dao tribulation, and later developed the Void Piercing Heavenly Eye to find Qin Wuya and confront the heavenly human split soul.
• Gu Yuanqing rescued Li Chengyi from a treasure sealed in his Divine Court, learned the boy was his son, and accepted him while letting him keep the Li surname and choose his own future.
• Gu Yuanqing defeated Qin Wuya and brought him to North Spring Mountain, then studied the Formless Heart Sutra with Zhang Xuanlin as the Heaven-Connecting Stele appeared.
• Zhang Xuanlin explained that the stele would protect the Floating World for a hundred years before a conflict with the Exquisite World, and the Heavenly Ladder began offering trials and rewards to its inhabitants.
• Gu Yuanqing climbed the Heavenly Ladder to the nineteenth level, while Bai Changbi and the other Slanting Moon World patriarchs learned his ranking and planned to enter the Floating World.
• After nine years of change, Li Chengyi left North Spring Mountain to experience the Imperial Dynasty, and Gu Yuanqing continued strengthening the mountain and the Floating World.
• Six Slanting Moon World cultivators entered the Floating World and planned to divide its territory, but Gu Yuanqing captured Bai Jianfei and subdued Bai Xianghui with a Soul Imprint.
• Gu Yuanqing decided to control the remaining outsiders with Soul Seals and sent the Hun Tian Rope through space toward another man investigating the Heaven-Connecting Stele.

Gu Yuanqing used captured outsiders and Dao Halls to prepare the Floating World for the Slanting Moon World, then defeated demons and expanded his strength through alchemy. As Li Chengyi married Chen Binglan, conflict between the Iron Eater Tribe and Five Poisons Mountain drew Gu Yuanqing’s attention back to the Demon Realm.

• Gu Yuanqing captured Ji Yuan, Tong Yuefei, and Chen Zhengfeng, learned of the Slanting Moon World’s strength, and arranged for the captured cultivators to teach the Floating World.
• Gu Yuanqing secured Great Zhou’s cooperation and sent Bai Xianghui, Chen Zhengfeng, and Tong Yuefei to establish Dao Halls, while Ji Yuan refused submission and was killed.
• Wang Yuchi used Gu Yuanqing’s birth details in a ritual to summon the King of the Underworld, but Gu Yuanqing resisted and Wang Yuchi later died in his trap.
• Five years later, Gu Yuanqing confronted Gongsun Sui and Five Poisons Mountain’s demons when they tried to uncover North Spring Mountain, driving them back and capturing several beasts.
• Gu Yuanqing refined pills from captured demons and strengthened his divine soul, while reports of his battles provoked human cultivators and Chang Beilong’s hidden possessor plotted against the Iron Eater Tribe.
• Gu Yuanqing approved Li Chengyi’s marriage to Chen Binglan and attended their wedding, then left after learning that demons were confronting Xiong Mo and Xiong Ba.
• Zhu Yi, Moon Demon, and other demons demanded a human and compensation from the Iron Eater Tribe, while Ji Xian ordered Chang Beilong not to act without permission.
