"It was a Yin-Yang Fruit Tree," the Little Fairy said sadly. "I guarded it for a whole hundred years before its fruit ripened, only for her to pick it."
In the end, the Little Fairy grew angrier with every word. "Not only did she pick the Yin-Yang Fruit I'd guarded for a hundred years, she even knocked down the tree! Now I'll never get to eat its fruit again."
At that, tears began pattering down the Little Fairy's face, making the tiny creature look utterly wronged. Yet the moment those tears fell, they froze into beautiful ice crystals.
"Picking the fruit was one thing, but why did you have to knock down the tree?" Even Li Yichen couldn't stand it anymore, and he gave Bai Binger a sidelong look.
Bai Binger flushed a little and stammered, "I wanted to dig it up and take it back to Kunlun Mountain. Who knew it would wither as soon as I dug it out? I didn't do it on purpose."
"Yin-Yang Fruit Trees need extremely specific conditions to grow. They have to be at a Yin-Yang Convergence." Before Li Yichen could speak, the Little Fairy cut in angrily. "You upset the balance of yin and yang when you moved the tree. Of course it died! You didn't even know that? What an idiot."
"Then couldn't we just plant it back where it was?" Li Yichen asked, puzzled.
"It's impossible now," the Little Fairy said angrily. "Places where yin and yang converge are rare to begin with. In two hundred years on Heavenly Mountain, I only found this one. Now that the balance has been destroyed, finding another is practically impossible."
"How about this?" Li Yichen thought for a moment. "Take me there to have a look. Maybe there's a way to save it."
