In a barren land, they found an unusual beast: Jiangli.
"This is an unusual beast?"
Watching the odd-looking little beast wriggle incessantly in Pei Buji's hand, Bu Er raised a hand and poked at it with utter disdain.
"It's just a beast. What's so special about it?"
Before Pei Buji could speak, Bu Er felt something hurtling toward his face on a gust of wind.

He had seen what happened just now fairly clearly.
It was plainly the unusual beast called Jiangli that had broken free of Pei Buji's hand and lunged at Bu Er.
Yet the utterly guileless smile on Pei Buji's face left Yang Qing unsure just what scripture the man was chanting in his belly.
Pei Buji laughed heartily and pointed to a spot on the ground behind Bu Er. "It hardly counts as a sneak attack. You simply weren't allowed a clear look."
Bu Er abruptly turned his gaze on him. "What do you mean by that, Great Hero Pei?"
Pei Buji said, "For that, you'll naturally have to ask the fellow behind you."
That fellow, however, was currently lying on top of Yang Qing's shoe, looking entirely innocent.
It was none other than Jiangli.
What startled both Bu Er and Jiang Zhizhou
