The Forest Spirits looked as though something had set them alight, their entire bodies glowing.
And they were growing brighter by the moment.
Jiangli looked up at the Forest Spirits, which were already bright enough to hurt the eyes, and only clicked its tongue after a long while.
"To stumble across even this... your luck really is extraordinary."
Jiangli's remark came out of nowhere. Even Yang Qing had no idea what it meant.
What had they stumbled across?
Weren't these just Forest Spirits?
From the look of things, the Forest Spirits were about to attack them, weren't they?
What else had they encountered besides that?
Seeing Yang Qing and the others turn their gazes from the Forest Spirits to it, Jiangli belatedly realized that it might have left something out.
"You don't know what these little fellows are doing?"
Of course they didn't. Were they supposed to know?
At any rate, Bu Er, Jiang Zhizhou, and the others looked utterly bewildered.
Were these Forest Spirits difficult to deal with? They didn't really seem to be.
Were they weak? They didn't seem particularly afraid of the group's attacks, either.
Actually, these little fellows were like sticky candy: impossible to pull off or shake loose.
They looked harmless, but in reality, they were enough to make anyone sick to death of them.
Still, before entering, they had heard of the Forest Spirits' fearsome reputation. Even though these things now appeared to have no offensive power at all, Yang Qing and the others dared not let their guard down.
Once these things latched onto someone, they were even more terrifying than bloodsucking bugs.
"Move closer together and bring your torches together, too. Unless I'm mistaken, these Forest Spirits are summoning True Fire."
