"Little Ninth, Little Ninth."
Dongfang Minghui hastily drew her arm back. The Pig-Tail Grass extended by the Pig Immortal Grass inside her space lashed hard at the mouth opening toward her, striking with sharp cracks. Only then did she see clearly that the snake-like, dragon-like little creature had merely been bluffing. It had not even finished growing a single tooth.
Qian Wanyu's Water-Thunder Whip followed close behind. The slippery, loach-like creature was instantly lashed open by the lightning-laced whip. Its entire body convulsed, and a pool of blood spread beneath it.
"Seventh Sister, don't."
"It nearly bit you just now." Qian Wanyu cast Ding Ding a mildly reproachful glance.
Ding Ding went quiet as a chicken, lowering its head and pretending to be a little quail. Yet its tiny eyes kept darting toward the motionless "fish" on the ground, and it badly wanted to go over and give it another couple of kicks.
The Pig Immortal Grass's grassy tail wound around it, binding it loop by loop. The harder it struggled, the tighter the grip became, until the little creature stopped struggling altogether. Only then did their contest end. Dongfang Minghui had just stepped forward when Qian Wanyu caught her and pulled her back.
"We still don't know where this thing came from. You're always so careless. Just look at it from a distance."
"Seventh Sister, with the Pig Immortal Grass here, it can't stir up any waves. Besides, it doesn't have any teeth." She had barely finished speaking when the little creature spat out a mouthful of blood, along with something white.
"Little Ninth, Little Ninth, look! What's that?"
She went over and picked up the white object. It was actually a bloodstained tooth. Toothless had needed to grind teeth when young, too, so she knew this milky-white thing
