Toothless took Little White Ball on a patrol, hoping to see whether any corpses or traces of Death Spirit Masters had appeared in some corner they did not know about. The closer they got to Death Valley, the less they could afford to overlook any detail.
Yet they had barely gone any distance before encountering a group of magic beasts beside a stream. These were very different from the hideously ugly magic beasts she had seen before. Their bodies were white all over, their fur sleek and smooth. They looked less like magic beasts than domesticated spirit beasts, exceptionally clean. When the two arrived, the beasts were drinking water and grooming one another, creating a particularly cozy scene.
Out of reverence for beautiful things, Toothless did not want to treat them as ingredients for roasted meat.
Who would have thought that, just as she spared them and prepared to leave, the magic beasts would raise their heads and howl at the sky several times? Then they surrounded the two without ceremony and attacked en masse.
One Light Element barrier rose after another, forming an enormous Light-Type Energy Barrier instead. Trapped at its center, Little White Ball was forced to release dark-type spiritual power.
That was how the chaotic scene Jian Tongyao and Qian Wanyu saw had come about.
"Light-Light, so many!"
"Heavens, these are all Light-Type Holy Beasts!!!" Jian Tongyao was stunned by the rows of towering holy beasts. No wonder Ding Ding had kept shouting that there were so many. Every one of them was tall and powerfully built. Could this be what Little Light would look like all grown up?
In the blink of an eye, more holy beasts appeared around Jian Tongyao and Qian Wanyu, each bearing a Light-Type Energy Barrier as they tried to approach them.
