"Is this him?"
Vasily nodded. "That's right. It's him."
Vasily then introduced them. "This is Gergen, chief of our Bearfolk. And this is Chen Hao, Sect Leader of the Heavenly Gate in Huaxia."
Gergen looked Chen Hao up and down again, still finding it hard to accept. Clearly, both his build and his age fell far short of what Gergen had expected.
Gergen exhaled a puff of smoke and said with obvious disappointment, "Sorry, but you're a long way from what I expected."
Chen Hao smiled without answering.
Then Gergen clapped twice, and a shirtless, burly man standing a full two meters tall appeared before them.
As soon as Vasily saw the man, he asked Gergen, "Chief, what are you doing?"
Gergen smiled and pointed at Chen Hao. "I want to test whether he's qualified to negotiate with me."
Gergen looked visibly awkward. "Chief, Chen Hao's position as Sect Leader of Huaxia's Heavenly Gate is proof enough of his strength. Did you call Rafim out because you want them to spar?"
Rafim flexed his massive pecs twice and shot Chen Hao a look of utter contempt.
"That's exactly what I intend. But if you're scared, Sect Leader Chen, you can leave right now. I'll pretend you were never here," Gergen said.
The next moment, Chen Hao smiled, turned, and walked away, leaving all three men dumbfounded.
"What a coward!" Rafim sneered.
Even Vasily froze. "He's just leaving?"
But a moment later, Chen Hao, who had just stepped out of the office, shouted for everyone to hear, "Rafim, if you want to fight, get out here now. I don't have time to waste on you."
Those words instantly fired up the soldiers throughout the military base.
