Aequus had only just died, and his body was still warm. There might still be hope!

Randall vanished in a flash, appeared in the office, and grabbed the Gauntlet.
Then he flashed back to Aequus's side.
When the three assassins saw Randall disappear, they thought he had left.
But before they could celebrate, Randall appeared again.
They felt as though he was toying with them until they broke.
That shock only made their legs go even weaker.
Standing before Aequus, Randall carefully set Christa down, then put on the Gauntlet.
He immediately pressed the Gauntlet against Aequus's body.
But a second later, Randall's face went pale.
He hadn't used the Gauntlet in quite some time, and he hadn't recharged it.
The Gauntlet was completely empty of Life Force. Not a drop remained.
Then his eyes lit up, and he turned toward the three assassins.
He hurried over in a flash, grabbed one at random, and returned to Aequus's side.
The man he grabbed was as helpless as a little chick, utterly unable to resist.
It was the man with the bulging eyes.
His lips trembled as he tried to say something.
But Randall gave him no chance to speak and immediately began draining his Life Force.
The man's body shriveled at a speed visible to the naked eye.
The remaining two assassins were scared out of their wits.
Was this guy even human?!
In just a few seconds, the man was reduced to a dried-out husk.
Randall immediately pressed his hand against Aequus.
With a thought, he sent a stream of pure Life Force flooding into Aequus's body like
