Hu Bin gave Torchic and Dratini a hand signal. Dratini hid beside the cave, waiting to ambush Nihilego when it came out!
Torchic took its position too, standing right at the cave entrance.
Hu Bin quickly ducked to one side and gave Torchic another signal!
Torchic understood instantly! Light shone from its body, and it began gathering Fire-type energy, preparing to hit Nihilego with a Flamethrower!
Dratini stayed hidden nearby, constantly stacking buffs on itself with Dragon Dance!
Hu Bin's eyes lit up at Dratini's movements. It even knows Dragon Dance! Well, well, looks like it's a natural.
Torchic also glanced back at Dratini, admiration in its eyes. Nice work, little buddy. You're a pro. Let's hit it hard in a moment.
Seeing the encouragement from both Hu Bin and Torchic, Dratini grew even more pleased with itself and put still more energy into its Dragon Dance!
Not to be outdone, Torchic began using Hone Claws to increase its damage. This was another trick Charizard had taught it: preparing an attack while buffing itself, doing two things at once!
Once its Flamethrower was ready, Torchic fired it at Nihilego without hesitation.
Nihilego had been sleeping soundly when it suddenly felt a wave of heat rushing toward it! The moment it opened its eyes, Flamethrower struck it squarely.
Nihilego wanted to swear. Why have I spent these past two days getting beaten up? First Dragonite yesterday, then a Ninetales provoking me this morning, and now a Torchic attacking me. This is infuriating!
Furious, Nihilego charged straight out, ready to teach this Torchic a lesson!
Torchic did not dodge. Nihilego grabbed it, but instead of crying out, Torchic simply vanished.
Hu Bin gave his orders then. "Good, Nihilego fell for it! Dratini, use Dragon Pulse! Torchic, use Flamethrower!"
