The PE Teacher Was Playing Dirty!

At school, the entire afternoon was set aside for training and battles to prepare for the upcoming school tournament.

After the students finished what the PE teacher called physical training and rested for a while, he eagerly began organizing battles.

"Class, we'll be starting battle training shortly. Let's see how good you are right now! We'll use a king-of-the-hill format. One person holds the field, and everyone else can challenge them."

At this, many students couldn't help asking the Physical Education Teacher, "Then who's going to hold the field?"

Li Ai smiled too. "Teacher, I've been training seriously. You'd better watch out."

Without another word, the PE teacher sent out his Pokémon, Primeape. The monkey had a piglike snout and wore a boxing glove on one hand, glaring at everyone with a thoroughly irritated expression.

Li Ai's breath caught, and with trembling hands, he sent out his Pokémon, Pidgeotto.

The battle began, and Li Ai attacked first. "Pidgeotto, use Wing Attack!"

Pidgeotto's wings flashed with white light as it charged at Primeape.

The PE teacher and Primeape stood their ground, utterly unfazed. This was nothing!

Just as Pidgeotto reached Primeape, the PE teacher spoke. "Primeape, grab Pidgeotto's wings."

Still looking annoyed, Primeape grabbed Pidgeotto's wings. The movement looked effortless, as easy as an eagle snatching a chick.

With its wings caught in Primeape's grip, Pidgeotto struggled desperately.

Li Ai hurriedly issued an order. "Pidgeotto, don't panic! Use Peck! Peck Primeape's face!"

But the PE teacher wasn't about to give him that chance. He immediately commanded, "Use Seismic Toss!"

Gripping Pidgeotto's wings, Primeape leaped with all its strength. High in the air, its body traced a perfect arc, sweeping out the shape of the Earth before hurtling toward the ground with Pidgeotto in tow. When the dust cleared, Pidgeotto was already unable to battle.

Li Ai recalled his Pokémon and slunk off the field. He had meant to redeem himself, only to make his humiliation even worse!

The PE teacher then told everyone, "That's how Pokémon battles work. You have to exploit your opponent's weaknesses to attack or counterattack. A Flying-type Pokémon's weakness is its wings. Without them, its movement is severely restricted. That's your chance to attack."

Then the PE teacher added, "Who wants to go next?"

After watching Li Ai get utterly crushed, the students hesitated, unwilling to embarrass themselves. Following a long silence, Liu Yi raised his hand and walked toward the training field with a serious expression.

Hu Bin and Wu Jin were both stunned. What was going on? Had Liu Yi turned over a new leaf?

But when Hu Bin turned to look, he saw plenty of girls watching Liu Yi. Liu Yi had instantly become the center of attention, and Hu Bin finally understood his plan. Liu Yi, you're playing on a whole different level!

Once Wu Jin understood Liu Yi's intentions, he was overcome with envy. Why didn't I think of that?

On the battlefield, Liu Yi took a deep breath and sent out his Munchlax.

"Munch!" As soon as Munchlax took the field, it let out a yawn, looking thoroughly lazy.

The battle began, and Liu Yi issued his command. "Munchlax, use Rollout!"

Munchlax immediately curled into a ball and rolled toward Primeape at full speed.

There was no denying it—little chubsters like Munchlax were surprisingly flexible!

The PE teacher promptly responded. "Primeape, use Karate Chop to stop Munchlax!"

Primeape raised its gloved hand, opened its fist into a palm, and chopped down on Munchlax. Munchlax cried out in pain as the Karate Chop struck it squarely, knocking it to the ground, but it was still able to battle.

Liu Yi hastily gave another command. "Munchlax, use Ice Punch!"

The PE teacher calmly issued his own order. "Primeape, Fire Punch!"

The icy light around Munchlax's fist collided with the flames around Primeape's, producing a thick cloud of smoke. When it cleared, Primeape had been pushed back several steps, while Munchlax lay on the ground, unable to battle.

Still, Munchlax's brave performance earned enthusiastic applause from the students. Even the PE teacher praised Liu Yi and Munchlax for doing well.

Liu Yi did pretty well. He really looked the part, Hu Bin thought to himself.

Wu Jin, however, began grinding his teeth. Damn it! You stole the spotlight before I could!

Wu Jin immediately stepped onto the field and had his Machop engage the PE teacher's Primeape in an intense Fighting-type showdown. "Intense" was entirely Wu Jin's own imagination, though, because Primeape kept pummeling Machop with lefts and rights. Machop couldn't fight back at all and eventually collapsed, unable to battle.

It was like an internet celebrity challenging a boxing champion—completely out of his depth!

The Lightning Five-Strike Whip wasn't going to help!

In the end, Wu Jin slunk off the field too.

Several more students stepped up to challenge the teacher, only for him and Primeape to crush every last one of them.

The smug, radiant grin on the PE teacher's face made quite a few students want to take him down with them, even if it cost them everything!

Then the PE teacher spoke. "You're being far too reckless. You charge in without knowing how strong your opponent is. What kind of outcome do you expect? Battling takes brains. Recklessness alone won't win you anything!"

The students fell silent. Those who had lost picked up their Poké Balls. Sure enough, it had gone exactly as the PE teacher said: they had charged in without thinking, had their weaknesses exploited, and that had been the end of it.

Meanwhile, Hu Bin had been observing the PE teacher's battle style and had come up with a few ideas. The teacher's Primeape was strong, adept at finding weaknesses while its opponent attacked and exploiting them to strike back. Its reactions were also very fast. A head-on breakthrough would definitely get caught by Primeape.

Having thought it through, Hu Bin walked onto the battlefield under his classmates' watchful eyes and sent out his Pokémon, Vulpix!
