Mega Blaziken's body was engulfed by Hyper Beam.
The blast knocked Blaziken straight out of its Mega Evolution and back into its original form.
It fell to the ground, unable to battle.
Hu Bin recalled Blaziken into its Poké Ball and gave a helpless, wry smile. In the end, he had been asking too much. His dad was just too unbeatable. Defeating him would probably have to wait until later.
Still, he had to keep enjoying the match. After all, the chance to battle a top Elite Four member was something he could only hope to stumble upon. He had to treasure this opportunity.
Hu Bin took out Ninetales's Poké Ball and said to it, "Ninetales, I'm counting on you. Give this battle everything you've got!"
With a flash of red light from the Poké Ball, the pure, snow-white Ninetales appeared on the battlefield, staring fiercely ahead.
Hu Jiaxing praised it. "What a presence, and what a look in those eyes! Ninetales has gotten much stronger too!"
Then Hu Jiaxing threw another Poké Ball. This Pokémon was Suicune!
Suicune was the embodiment of the north wind. It had a crest like a blue gemstone, surrounded by white, windlike streamers that gave it a graceful appearance. The blue and white patterns on its body evoked water and wind.
It looked like a master who stood apart from the world, though its performance in the anime had been terribly underwhelming.
Like the other Pokémon, Suicune's eyes filled with affection and delight when it saw Hu Bin.
Hu Bin smiled and waved to Suicune as well.
As the match began, Hu Bin's gaze sharpened. "Go, Ninetales! Hail!"
Ninetales swiftly gathered Ice-type energy and cried out toward the sky. Dark clouds quickly gathered overhead, and hail began falling.
