The Demon King Said That-What Does It Have to Do with Me, Hu Bin?

"Yi Nanzi, hurry up and peel some fruit. We want some!"

"Wu Jin, hurry up and take out the trash!"

"Liu Yi, bring out the snacks. We want to eat!"

The Pokémon also glared fiercely at their trainers as they worked. Yep! Turning them against their trainers had been a complete success!

The three had arrived brimming with confidence, only to end up every bit as bedraggled now!

Once they finished their chores, the three sat stiffly across from Hu Bin and the Pokémon, ready to listen to Brother Bin's teachings!

Hu Bin looked at the three with an expression of bitter disappointment.

"You lot! I told you ages ago not to get cocky. You should know that your Brother Bin will always be a legend, so listen to him! As for women, all I have to say is that they're just an illusion. You can't handle them. Can you be like your Brother Bin? Can you?"

The three were like well-behaved little children now, obedient to a fault!

Hu Bin continued, "That's why you need to study hard and get out there to gain experience before you can grow. You're still a long way from my level. Make sure you learn properly, understand?"

The three were on the verge of tears now and could only nod miserably!

They finally understood that Brother Bin was not someone to mess with. They had to listen to him, or they would meet a terrible end!

Late that night, after Hu Bin's lecture, the three left his house with nothing left to live for, wanting to cry but unable to shed a tear!

What did we even come here for? Who would've thought the spies were right beside us! Boohoo!

As for Hu Bin, he felt utterly refreshed after giving the three a good scolding!

Humming a song as he made Pokéblocks, Hu Bin specifically exchanged for Berries that could help boost Psychic-type abilities and used them to make special Pokéblocks for Kadabra!

Over the next few days, Hu Bin and Qin An trained Vulpix in Extrasensory at the Training Hall every day. The two came and went together daily, causing quite a stir at school!

Meanwhile, Wu Jin and Liu Yi watched them leave every day with resentment in their hearts, scoffing at Hu Bin's talk of brotherhood. Pah! It wasn't worth a thing!

Under Kadabra's guidance over those few days, Vulpix's control of Psychic-type energy also improved by leaps and bounds, leaving Kadabra full of self-doubt. If I went one-on-one against Vulpix using Psychic-type moves, I feel like I'd lose now. Vulpix learns way too fast! I'm such an idiot!

"Vulpix, use your Psychic-type energy to control that rock and lift it up!" Hu Bin instructed, pointing.

Vulpix's eyes glowed blue, and the large rock ahead rose into the air under the control of Psychic-type energy!

Vulpix even added some fancy tricks, sending the rock flying back and forth with Psychic-type energy and making it dance to a rhythm!

The display had Hu Bin and the lovely Qin An exclaiming how awesome it was, while Kadabra continued questioning the meaning of life! Had the heavens never brought forth me, Kadabra, Vulpix would have spent eternity in darkness!

Hu Bin seized the moment. "Vulpix, now! Concentrate your Psychic-type energy into a single point and use Extrasensory!"

"Vul!" The blue light in Vulpix's eyes blazed, converging into a beam that shattered the rock completely!

Looking at the shattered rock, Vulpix proudly raised that little head. Extrasensory had reached basic proficiency!

Hu Bin was overjoyed too. After days of practice, Vulpix had finally learned Extrasensory. They had used up all their Psychic Gems over the past few days. If Vulpix still hadn't learned it, he really would have been broke enough to cry! Vulpix, well done!

Qin An looked astonished as well. That's amazing! Learning Calm Mind and Extrasensory in just a few days—what kind of terrifying learning ability is that? How can it be so scary?

Once her surprise passed, Qin An congratulated Hu Bin. "Congratulations! Vulpix learned Extrasensory. The great technique is mastered!"

Hu Bin was thrilled and said excitedly, "That's thanks to you and Kadabra teaching us, too. If it had just been Vulpix and me, learning it would've taken much longer!"

Qin An smiled. "Don't be so modest. Your Vulpix learns really quickly. Even without us, Vulpix could have learned Extrasensory in no time! I should also thank you for giving Kadabra and me so many Pokéblocks lately. You've given us so much that I'm starting to feel embarrassed!"

"They're all thank-you gifts, so there's no need to feel embarrassed. We can train together again whenever we get the chance!"

Qin An had initially felt a little down. She had really enjoyed spending time with Hu Bin over the past few days, but now that Vulpix had learned Extrasensory, she no longer had a reason to keep seeing him.

But hearing Hu Bin say they could train together again cheered Qin An up, and her smile blossomed like a flower. "Sure! Let's train together again sometime!"

Hu Bin was a little mesmerized by Qin An's smile. Oh no. My heart just skipped a beat!

Hu Bin kept staring blankly at Qin An, making her so embarrassed that her face turned red.

Blushing, Qin An asked softly, "Why do you keep staring at me?"

Hu Bin's face instantly flushed too. I got too caught up staring. How embarrassing!

Hu Bin quickly changed the subject. "Oh, right. Are you free this Saturday? I'm taking part in the Spring City Marathon. If you have time, would you like to come watch?"

"Yes, I'm free! I'll come cheer you on! You'd better not lose!"

Qin An could tell Hu Bin was changing the subject. Girls tended to notice these things, after all, so she didn't call him out on it. She was also very interested in his participation in the race, though, and encouraged him.

Hu Bin was delighted to hear that Qin An would come watch the race, and then he heard her say he couldn't lose.

Hu Bin felt a fire burning inside him. He wouldn't rest until he won the race!

Patting his chest, Hu Bin promised Qin An, "Just wait and see that day. I'll definitely take first place!"

"All right, I'll be watching how you do! Good luck!" Qin An covered her mouth and smiled.

After training, Hu Bin said goodbye to Qin An, then headed home with Wu Jin, Liu Yi, and Yi Nanzi!

But the lovestruck grin on Hu Bin's face gave all three of them the shivers!

The three whispered among themselves, "Look at Brother Bin's lovesick grin today. I can already smell the sickening stench of romance!"

Their resentment toward Hu Bin kept growing. They remembered how smug he had looked back then, how disdainful he had been when they flirted with girls, and the bold declaration he had kept repeating: "A man who stands at the pinnacle of Pokémon won't let women affect him."

Brother Bin, doesn't your face sting from that slap?

Wu Jin couldn't resist asking Hu Bin, "Brother Bin, remember when you said a man who stands at the pinnacle of Pokémon won't let women affect him? Do you think you can actually do that?"

Hu Bin pondered for a moment, then said, "The Demon King said that. What does it have to do with me, Hu Bin?"

The three were instantly speechless. You really are something!
