As Rex walked through the streets of Silvermoon City, his eyes swept over the buildings from time to time, taking in an architectural style utterly unlike that of humans.
This rest had lasted far longer than he had expected. Meditation alone had taken Rex three days. Apart from eating and drinking, he had sat motionless on his bed the entire time. Afterward, he had fallen into such a deep sleep that almost five full days passed before hunger finally woke him.
Eight days had passed in all before Rex emerged from his lodgings, refreshed and clearheaded, and began exploring the streets of Silvermoon City.
"This is a magnificent city. The power of magic is everywhere," Rhonin said, his eyes shining with excitement.
What mage would not want to visit Silvermoon City and see the capital of the king of Quel'Thalas, a city where magic was woven into everyday life? But the High Elves had always shunned outsiders, and Rhonin had never managed to fulfill that wish.

Silvermoon City was different: here, magical goods had found their way into countless households.
