The next day, daylight filled the land. The sun hung in the sky, casting countless rays of light, while cool breezes blew steadily. The sky remained its perpetual gray, as though veiled by a layer of dust.

Rex saw Vorgan, who had now turned into a scholar. He kept a book in his hands, diligently studying the volumes he had received from Rex as though he had discovered a priceless treasure. It was hard to imagine Vorgan, with that wolf's head of his, studying with such perseverance.

The Wolfhowl Tribe's army was ready. With food as an incentive, there was no need to worry about the morale of these gnolls. Although Rex had not brought much food on this trip to the Arathi Highlands, he had no need to transport it himself. Five thousand soldiers were conspicuous enough already; if they had brought food supplies as well, concealing their movements would have been impossible. Rex had obtained the food from Prince Galen.
