"Head to the first defensive line," Rex said gravely after hearing Jaina's words, his expression solemn as he gazed toward the Horde's position.

Construction of the second defensive line proceeded according to plan. Ranks of Gnolls stood at the very front, followed closely by the elite troops of Gilneas. They served two purposes: defending against the Burning Legion and suppressing any Gnolls who dared cause trouble.

Darius and the others were in charge here, so Rex did not need to oversee things himself.

He hurried toward the first defensive line with Jaina and the others. They moved swiftly, passing through a stretch of woodland before catching sight of the Horde soldiers, already armed and ready. The Horde had committed heavily to this battle, sending most of its elite troops. Although Rex's party was unwelcome, their standing allowed them to pass unhindered. No one dared stop them, and they went straight to the front of the first defensive line.

Standing atop a wooden post, Rex faced the wind and gazed at the Burning Legion in the distance.

This was Rexxar's first encounter with the infamous Burning Legion. Its name was widely known. It had destroyed countless worlds, and no one knew how many races had perished at its hands. Very few truly dared challenge it.

Rex's expression darkened as he stared at the demon army. He had yet to witness the combat strength of the Burning Legion's troops, but their appearance alone told him one thing: they were powerful, not weak in the slightest.

Anyone would have looked grim at the sight of that vast sea of Felguards. As the Burning Legion's main force, Felguards existed in enormous numbers and made up the bulk of its army. Armed with sharp axes, they dared cleave any enemy who stood in their path
