Boom, boom, boom!!!!
Successive bombardments thundered across the first defensive line, displaying the Infernals' full might.
Flames filled the sky as they rained down like bombs. Their tremendous impact smashed the defenses to pieces. Hard stone proved helpless beneath the Infernals' blows, shattering into rubble that flew in every direction.
The position that had been tightly defended a moment earlier was now riddled with holes. The Horde's soldiers did not dare show their heads. In the caves dug beforehand, green-skinned Orcs huddled together with hunched, stooping, blue-skinned Trolls, hiding cautiously as curses rang out one after another.
"Good thing I reacted quickly!" An Orc who had been the first to enter a dugout cried out in delight, but his delight did not last long.
Orcs, Trolls, and Tauren rushed into the cramped space. Soon, the Orcs and Trolls were packed tightly together, shoulder to shoulder, with still more pouring in from behind. The first Orc to enter no longer felt any delight. All his earlier joy had turned to terror.
"Damn you, you're stepping on me!"
"Bullshit, you're stepping on me!"
"It's you!"
"It's you!"
Relations between the Orcs and Trolls were not entirely harmonious; the two sides had their disputes. Orcs had bad tempers to begin with, and Trolls were little better. Cruel and bloodthirsty, Trolls regarded any living creature as food. They were not picky in the slightest, their appetites as hearty as those of Ogres. Enemies, allies, even their own kin-when hunger struck, they would throw them into a large pot, light some dry wood underneath, boil them, and eat them.
Eating humans was not frightening in itself, since Trolls were not human. To them, humans were much like apes were to humans. The truly horrifying part was that Trolls would eat their own kin.
