Three days passed in a flash, and all eight suits of armor were finished. Not only that, they had already been tested in the sea. In preparation for this mission, Rex and the others had spent some time practicing underwater, familiarizing themselves with fighting in the ocean. With their extraordinary abilities, they naturally learned quickly and could now wield their full strength. Everything was ready, and Rex had no intention of holding back.

The sooner they resolved the Kingdom of Gilneas's troubles, the better.

The party of eight quietly left Lordaeron City.

The lineup Rex had assembled to deal with Neptulon the Tidehunter was truly formidable.

It included Tyrande, a demigod, Rex, whose combat strength also matched a demigod's, and Medivh. Yes, Medivh. Although he had come along, he was still concealing his identity, hiding his face in shadow beneath a black cloak and maintaining the image of a mysterious prophet. Rex did not mind in the slightest. To him, Medivh's presence alone was good news. Aegwynn's knowledge and power were not the only reasons Rex valued her so highly; Medivh was part of the reason as well.

As long as Rex secured Aegwynn's allegiance, he would also bind Medivh to the Kingdom of Gilneas's cause. Clearly, he had accomplished that.

Tyrande, Rex, and Medivh were either demigods themselves or possessed comparable combat strength. The remaining five were the archmage, Tirion Fordring, Jaina, Sylvanas, and Antonidas. Although Kael'thas had appeared in Lordaeron City, Rex had never included him in his plans. Underwater combat would place far too many restrictions on him. Everyone knew that Kael'thas specialized in fire magic, and his most powerful move was his innate ability to summon a fire Phoenix, a spell no one else could master.

Underwater, however, a fire mage would be rendered completely useless.
