Although Rex was underwater and his vision was affected, his armor kept the interference to a minimum. That alone was enough to demonstrate Neptulon the Tidehunter's speed.

If Rex tried to chase Neptulon the Tidehunter through the ocean on speed alone, he would be left so far behind that he would have no idea where his quarry had gone.

Even if Rex ran himself to death, he would never catch up.

But once a Portal came into play, Neptulon the Tidehunter had nowhere to hide, no matter how fast he was. He had prepared for this long ago, however, and immediately took a green Crystal Ball from his Storage Ring. The green Crystal Ball looked rather ordinary, its light dim. In the already gloomy ocean, it did not stand out at all.

But when Rex channeled some energy into the green Crystal Ball, it began to emit a soft green glow.

Compared with the Holy Light, that green glow was not brilliant at all. Its light was extremely gentle.

This was none other than the strategic treasure, the Crystal Ball.
